db audioware has come a long way since I launched the company with some simple freeware back in 1997. Here is a brief history of the projects we've completed along the way...

2009
- DMXIS - a revolutionary lighting controller. Created in collaboration with Enttec (a leading manufacturer of lighting hardware).
- Sounds Active - Essential Sound Engineering - an interactive package that teaches the fundamentals of Sound Engineering and Production. Created in collaboration with Strathclyde University
2008
- Groove Agent One - the core drum machine in Steinberg's Cubase 5.
2007
- Quantum FX 2.5
- Sidechain Compressor and Sidechain Gate, two new plug-ins featuring Universal Sidechains.
- Groove Agent 3, a major Steinberg product developed by db audioware.
- Flying Haggis, a hand-tuned virtual guitar amp with loads of character.
2005
- Quantum FX V2 which added added OS X support.
- Launch of the Sounds Active technology concept at the SAME 2005 music education conference.
2004
- Broomstick Bass, a comprehensive virtual bass instrument created in collaboration with Sven Bornemark
2003
- The Quantum FX modular effects system - released in summer 2003, with a "bumper bundle of effects" and a graphical workbench for building custom effects
2001
- Our first broadcast-specific products, two Broadcast Processor plug-ins for the DRS 2006 Radio Automation System.
2000
- DirectX Mastering Suite, a collection of quality dynamics effects (limiter, multiband compressor, de-esser and compressor/gate)./li>
1998
- Our first commercial products - ProDelay (a tempo sync delay with analog filters) and ProComp (a compressor).
1997
- The world's first freeware VST effects:TempoDelay, SweepDelay and Tremolo.
